Health Technologies for Women and Children

Health technologies for infants

PATH is working to develop and expand access to technologies that can improve the health outcomes of children during their most vulnerable period—their first month of life. Examples include PATH’s basic delivery kit, designed to create a clean birthing environment, and gentamicin in a prefilled syringe which helps ensure immediate delivery of lifesaving antibiotics in communities and peripheral health care settings. PATH is also advancing technologies that help babies thrive, such as the  safety management system for human milk banks, that is able to flash-pasteurize breast milk for infants who are preterm, low birth weight, malnourished, born to HIV-positive mothers, or orphaned.
